Locality: Temperate forests of Southeastern Russia and Northeastern China, near the Amur River basin.

2. Javan Rhino
Scientific Name: Rhinoceros sondaicus
Local Name: Badak Jawa
Locality: Ujung Kulon National Park, Java, Indonesia.
According to 2025 repost only 74 of them are left.This number put them on number 2 on the list.
3. Sumatran Orangutan
Scientific Name: Pongo abelii
Local Name: Orangutan Sumatera
Locality: Rainforests of Sumatra, Indonesia.
They are also on the verge of extinction. According to 2025, only 14,000 are left in wild.
4. Vaquita
Scientific Name: Phocoena sinus
Local Name: Vaquita Marina
Locality: Northern part of the Gulf of California, Mexico.
According to 2025, only 10 of them are left in the word. This number put them on Number 1 in this list of top 10 endangered species.
5. Mountain Gorilla
Scientific Name: Gorilla beringei beringei
Local Name: Gorila de Montaña
Locality: Virunga Mountains (Rwanda, Uganda, and DRC) and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda.
According to 2025, only 200,000 left but it is considered endangered by the IUCN.
According to latest report they are recovering now.
6. Leatherback Turtle
Scientific Name: Dermochelys coriacea
Local Name: Tortuga laúd
Locality: Tropical and subtropical oceans worldwide; nesting sites include beaches in the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and Central America.
There is not an official number but according to some reports from . NOAA Fisheries (.gov) and other resources. They stated that 40% decrease from over the past three generations
7. Sunda Tiger
Scientific Name: Panthera tigris sondaica
Local Name: Harimau Sumatera
Locality: Forests of Sumatra, Indonesia.
8. Yangtze Finless Porpoise
Scientific Name: Neophocaena asiaeorientalis ssp. asiaeorientalis
Local Name: Baiji de Yangtze
Locality: Yangtze River and its adjacent lakes in China.
According to 2025 reports they are only 1,249 are left in the sea.
9. Cross River Gorilla
Scientific Name: Gorilla gorilla diehli
Local Name: Gorila del río Cross
Locality: Forested regions along the Cross River on the border between Nigeria and Cameroon.
According to report of WWF only 300 lefts
10. Hawksbill Turtle
Scientific Name: Eretmochelys imbricata*
Local Name:Tortuga carey
Locality: Coral reefs in tropical oceans worldwide; nesting occurs on beaches in the Caribbean and Indo-Pacific regions.
There are only 83,000 and possibly only 57,000 hawksbill turtles left worldwide.
